So, I am using the WIN 7 computer as a "server" to connect to the WIN 10 computer to the printer.

I cannot find a driver for it, for the the WIN 10 computer. I have a ethernet chord ordered that will allow me to connect my WIN 7 comptuer with my WIN 10 computer. I know the extender is working since my cell phone is picking it up as a optional connection.
I also have a WIFI extender with at ethernet port and have tried that and have NOT been successfull with getting it connected.

I tried the second one and did not get the download from the link you gave me. I was NOT successful with the Setup.exe procedure. Same as when you plug it into a new socket, it takes a minute to connect.Īlso, if you want to take advantage of your new speeds/reception, toggle your devices' wifi off then back on, so it disconnects from the old signal, and reconnects to the new, better signal.Tried both of the instructions you gave me. I made the mistake of trying to pair it right after plugging in and it took me a few tries to figure out it wasn't ready. It's like any router where when you first turn it on, it kind of cycles through the lights before settling. My advice is give it a few minutes after you plug it in before you try and sync it to the router. My parents don't have to do anything, which means I don't have to do tech-support. It worked and improved coverage to the main and upstairs level, easily covering previous dead spots. You then unplug it, and move it wherever you get a good balance between coverage and signal back to the router. It worked exactly as described out of the box, basically you plug it in near the router, hit the WPS (pair) button on the router, then the pair button on the extender, after a few minutes (and maybe a few tries), it sets itself up automatically. I purchased this for my parents as a simple solution to improve wifi coverage in their house. i've tested the internet speed from with different options and these are the results i got.Ĭontrol(straight connection to router from phone rooms away about 25ish feet):Įxtended standard 2.4Ghz: 41 dl mbps / 34 up mbpsĮxtended stadard 5Ghz: 75 dl mbps / 65 up mbpsĮxtended boost disabled 2.4Ghz to boost 5Ghz: 80 dl mbps / 76 up mbpsĮxtended boost disabled 5Ghz to boost 2.5Ghz: 73 dl mbps / 71 up mbps I'm using the "high speed mode" where it cancels either the 2.4 ghz or 5 ghz and amplifies the non-cancelled ghz. I've got it extended past rooms, doors, and stairs. I unplugged and plugged the RE220 while following the instructions within the applet to set up device(extender) and RANDOMLY it started working. I even tried connecting with ethernet cable from router to extender but that didnt work either.
wasn't working no matter what which way i tried. I've got a Verizon Fios-Gen4 router as the host router connected wireless to the RE220 model. and other info used while using this product. including sending to 3rd parties and once sent, they have no control over what is done with the data such as name, address, payment information, personal information such as birth date.
If you read just the first couple paragraphs of their policy, they mention that they'll pull as much data as they want and use it as they want. I had everything below written and set up as average 4 star but noticed a review about their privacy policy.
